This universe was new. Soft, gooey. Crimson kicks a bit of sand near his foot. If he wanted, he could mold it like putty in his hands. But all Crimson was doing at the moment was using a stick to sketch schemes and faces into the sand while watching the sunrise. Mandoor and Funbox were soaking in the sun behind him while Who played in the surf. The sight of his friends Pokemon enjoying themselves did Not make him smile and it did NOT make him laugh when Funbox glared at Mandoor for blocking the sun with its wings.
Down the shoreline, a wave peaks and casts a rainbow on the sand. The light seems to expand, growing until a crack appears. The crack folds outwards, the rainbow light moving as if making way for a terrible forc.Something begins to rise out of the glowing portal, the colors weaving into something truly terrible to behold.
Prism walks out of the portal. “There you are crimson! I’ve been looking all over for you :)! Crimson’s pokemon all freeze. Crimson turns lazily, squinting at Prism suspiciously. “What do you want, Prism?” Prism gives a small smile, tilting her head slightly. “I just wanted to see what you were up to!” She turns towards the ocean and spreads her arms wide as if presenting the slowly brightening sky. “And my, what a view!”
Crimson raises himself out of his slouch. “It was better without you blocking it.”
Prism turns back towards crimson, laughing softly. The hand she covers her mouth with is almost mocking. “Well, I’ll be out of your goop soon enough. It’s just… Well, new universe! So many possibilities, so many responsibilities. I just wanted to make sure that nothing was going…” She trails off, tilting her head at the sketches in the sand. “...Awry.”
Crimson scoffs. “I’ve done my damn job every other time. You don’t need to hen me into work. I’ll get mine done and you’ll go do whatever you spend all your time doing.”
Prism's smile shifts into something more condescending, she clasps her hands in front of her. “Well, Ya’ know we are on a tight schedule. We don’t want any Mishaps.”
As Prism said mishap, it came with pressure -One that felt like the whole world was pressing down on your shoulders. Crimson flinched, as did all of his Pokemon. He looked to the horizon, where the sun was bathing the water in a brilliant orange glow. “Fine! Fine. I’ll make all the constants as soon as I recall all my Pokemon and leave.” Crimson looked toward Prism, the hand she couldn’t see clenching so hard it shook.
Prism gave a glowing smile. “I’m so glad you agree!” She turned and walked back into her portal. “Best get going!” Crimson tore open a swirling red vortex, his jaw clenched hard. He jerked his head to the portal, saying “Come on” as gently as he could manage. All three of his Pokemon recall themselves.
Prism, halfway through her portal, calls over her shoulder. “Have a wonderful day, Crimson!” The portal shutters closed behind her. Crimson growls, and falls through his vortex.
The orange light was fading to the soft blues of the clear water. The only sound was the waves on the beach, softly lapping at the markings left behind. One wave crests far later than the others, casting a rainbow light on the sand as it races up the shore. As it receded, the sand was as smooth as the day it was made.
Like nothing was ever there.

Prism stood at the edge of the universe. There were many universes, but this was THE universe. The one that she has been waiting for. She can see it in the way the colors of Spectrum weave themselves into a pyre. She gleefully watches as the currents of spectrum flow, beginning to take shape. She-
Oh! Hello there :)
Prism turns towards the threads of Spectrum that have gathered around her. She gazes into the all consuming eye, and smiles.
“You’re a little early for the show, but I guess you couldn’t resist an early look at one of the stars!”
She glances at the flames, watching them grow brighter as they collapse and take shape. “I’m sure that you have so many questions, but I only have a little time” She cocks her head, smiling like she is sharing an inside joke. “It’s almost time, and I’m going to be very busy these next few billion years. Have to make sure everyone is ready for their rolls, after all!”
“So!” She claps her hands together. “One question! What'cha want to know?”
Are you Happy?
Prism Blinks, her smile unmoving. “Why wouldn’t I be?”
Yeah, that makes sense as your answer.
Prism face falls subtly. “Why wouldn’t I be happy?”
You said only one question.
Prism’s smile finally slips. “So what, you-” The eye of Spectrum closes.
